Lady Gaga Dishes on Nebraska Cornfields and Luc Carl in You and I Video

Lady Gaga just shot a new video in Nebraska and while she did not specifically reveal or admit that it is for the track 'You & I' -- where she declares 'Nebraska, I love you' and 'There's something about / My cool Nebraska guy' -- it's pretty much a foregone conclusion at this point. Remember, PopCrush predicted it, too!

MTV reports that The Mother Monster did open up to Omaha radio station 94.1, lamenting the pain of shooting on a cornfield in the Corn Husker state. But she also gave some critical details about the video's plot and it's typical, larger-than-life Gaga.

"I've got to tell you, I don't think there's anything hotter than being in a cornfield in Nebraska," the singer said. "It was so sweet, and I looked out and it's so beautiful, that tall corn ... Then all of a sudden you start to see these monsters pop up. I love this place so much, and it really comes from a genuine place."

She also confirmed that "the person who I wrote this song about has been my buddy and my best friend since I was 19 years old, and he's from here." Gaga is referring to Luc Carl, the man who is often credited as her boyfriend, which could make him the Father Monster, if you think about it.

Aside from the fact that Nebraska produced Luc Carl, Gaga espoused her fondness for the State, saying, "And I love this state so much." Looks like the children of the cornfields have a new state ambassador, and her name is Lady Gaga.

Gaga also shed a little light on the plot of the film, saying that the premise of the video is that "I've walked all the way from New York City to Nebraska to get him back. I'm walking with no luggage and no nothing and it's just me and my ankles are bleeding a little bit and there's grass stuck in my shoes and I've got this outfit on and it's real sort of New York clothing and I'm sprinting." Even if she hoofed it from NYC to the cornfields, we're sure Gaga did it in 10-inch platform heels and her signature leather bra. There are no sneakers in Gaga-ville.

She continued, "The [video is about the] idea that when you're away from someone you love, it's torture. I knew I wanted the video to be about me sprinting back and walking hundreds of thousands of miles to get him back."

That's love, for damned sure.

Gaga did not mention how and if her Yuyi mermaid alert ego factors into the video.
